Knitters in the storm
How are you easterners surviving the nor'easter. Lisa? Irene? Molly? Anyone else experiencing it?

Here in Blue Bell we've had a LOT of rain, and some snow last night (which has mostly melted already). Last night the wind kept waking me up, and it's still very windy today, which makes me nervous because there's a dead tree in our yard that's perilously close to our power line.
Vlad had dinner plans last night with a college friend of his, but the friend had to cancel because his car got stuck when he tried to drive through some water that was deeper than it looked.
Other than that, we're okay here.
We had another cold rainy weekend (but no snow, as it turned out). The rain was from the storm that caused the snow in Lawrence (not the noreaster) and led to the river being the highest we have seen it. One of the roads was underwater and our marmot's creek was completely backed up to a standstill (photos to come on Sparkling Squirrel blog). Today is now crazy wind, presumably from the continental storm crashing up against the noreaster. But it's not raining!
Other than stronger wind than usual, I haven't really noticed other than getting nauseous when the plane I was on had to circle several times before landing on Monday-- it was pretty bumpy as the pilots waited for a break in the wind to land.
