Knitting group Wed. night

Since it happens so rarely, I had to post it. We're having knitting group at my house Wed. night since Tuscon Trekker is in town. Email me for details! And a Chinese friend is moving in with me. She's excited to take Sally for walks. I'm excited for her cooking and pet sitting.

Earth Hour (and baby) celebrated by knitters

For the second time the knitting group participated in Earth Hour, while throwing a baby shower for Sparkling Squirrel. Well, we kept on a lamp for those knitting, but turned off all other lights. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29900742/ Here's the group at Indian Palace, and lounging in bed Sunday morning. Tucson Trekker & Rusty had some aura going on where I couldn't get a photo of both of them in focus.

KNITTING GROUP REUNION

In case any of you happen to be in town, please join us on Saturday Mar. 28 at 6pm for a KNITTING GROUP REUNION at Sally's Sister's with co-hosts Sparkling Squirrel, Jenny, and Jennifer. We'll make gourmet pizza. Here is a list of food requests. Let me know what you would like to bring.

Visit to Kansas

I'm going to be coming into Kansas for field work and a wedding. I'll be there Tuesday night until Monday morning. I'm also going to be heading both to Fitch and Welda looking for snails if anyone wants to help me out looking for them. For some reason the husband will help but doesn't want to go play with ticks if it's not needed. Anyway - I'd love to meet up with all the knitters in the area so email me at elfwren at the lovely G provider of mail or give me a call on my cell (or at home if Monday). Other posters have my cell if needed and the husband (wow that sounds weird to type) and I will be at the Quality Inn for our time in Kansas up on 8th street.

Hiking biologist knitters

Erin, Cathy and I had breakfast and stroll in botanical gardens, then a great romp in the desert while they were here for the Landscape Ecology Conference. Mid-80's and sunny, blooming cacti. It was SO FANTASTIC to see Lawrence friends!!! (Remember we have an extra bed here in Tucson... :)
