Perhaps I posted too soon
I bled all night and am going to the doctor as soon as Jeff passes out his syllabi.

Oh no, keep us informed - my thoughts are with you....
Fingers crossed and sending my best wishes your way.
So my doctor isn't in today. The nurse tried to reassure me that women can bleed and later have a healthy pregnancy. (Based on my investigations that is a real possibility-- about half of women who have a "threatened miscarriage" go on to have a baby-- but I'm a bit dubious as to what gets counted in that, since those that are actually having a miscarriage don't fall into the "threatened" category) I can also go to the ER if I want, but she informed me that they'd probably send me home to see if I keep bleeding (which is why I didn't go last night).
At the moment, I am not actively bleeding while sitting around, nor do I hurt, however it is bright red when I do go to the bathroom and I had icky cramps last night.
My mother, in a great urge to do something, bought a plane ticket and is on her way here. I feel a little bad, and we just make each other sad, but very relieved that she can be here to play with Dianthus over the next few days.
I have an appointment with the doctor tomorrow (which means that I'll need someone else to cover another class) and we'll see.
At this point (from worst to best) "natural miscarriage", surgery for miscarriage, Rutherford okay but on bed rest or everything okay are all possibilities.
I'll keep you posted. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.
Thinking of you and hoping that things turn out okay.
Sending thoughts of health and peace to you!!!
Oh yes, and hugs.
