GBDK Retreat?
March 28 is upcoming, (just four weeks away) the date previously set for a GBK mini-retreat in the Lawrence area. I'll be in town (for meetings on Monday the 30th and probably Sunday night). Who's in? For what? Who's coordinating? (not it).
I'll be happy just seeing my dear friends at their houses, but if we wanted to actually retreat somewhere, we need a plan (and frankly, if we're just meeting at someone's house, a plan would be order).

I could host - 2 beds and a foldout couch. Or what about the place Cathy had her reception. Or what about a double room with giant beds at the holidome (has a pool!).
I'm Bummed - I'm not going to be in town and will have just left to see my hubby.
We get home from Australia late the 29th, and Cheryl, who is staying in our house, is leaving the 26th. Sounds like I may not be here for the "retreat" that happen that weekend, but if anyone/everyone wanted a place to stay, gather, cook, eat, etc, for the weekend, you are all welcome to use our home (close to Mass st, complete with friendly cats, etc).
No worries if you decide to go somewhere more exotic...but I hope to see people perhaps on Monday the 30th?
I really wish I could be there, but the 28th is our move-in date at our new place in Logan...
When do you get to town? Are they putting you up in a hotel? For all the nights? Details!
When I get to town is largely dependent on what we are doing (middle of the night Friday or Saturday afternoon). I have a reception on Sunday late afternoon and meetings all day on Monday (and I'd like to see my in-laws in there, but I haven't spoken to them yet because I'm waiting to find out what I'm doing with my friends). They are putting me up at the Springhill Suites on Sun and Mon (and if I begged, they would probably go Sat., but I told them Sun and Mon because I was going to see my friends on Saturday).
So Molly, you have a place to move into?
Ok - so who wants to get together Sat. night - at my house or a room in the holidome so we can swim? Or does no one else think a pool party would be fun? If no one replies I'll email locals tomorrow.
ack - I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it. We shall see but I'd put me down as a most likely not. :-(
Although I originally said I would try to make this, I probably won't. My parents who were not going to visit me, suddenly decided that they would, and I lost track of dates. Sorry
I am up for anything this weekend. I can host people at my house or would be up for staying at a hotel or someone else's house.
