Maybe I just missed it because I don't listen to NPR often (no morning commute), but I still managed to hear lots plenty of Darwin hoopla and at least a few articles in the paper about Lincoln's 200th, but I'm frankly shocked there hasn't been a book, or at least a long essay, on Feb. 12, 1809 and how much it changed American history. Of course, I want to write it.
Ok, I guess I'm just a little culturally unaware, apparently there were at least 2 books about it and a quick google search reveals articles in Newsweek and Time on the subject . . .
