Inkdeath or Inkheart Movie

Admittedly, I live outside of lots of pop culture, so I suppose I shouldn't have been surprised that Inkheart the movie opened yesterday without me having heard anything about it, and then I found out that the third book of the trilogy, Inkdeath, was released in October.

I know that several of us loved Inkheart and several of us were sorely disappointed in Inkspell, so I was just wondering if anybody has thoughts on the movie or the third book.

I just looked up Inkheart on Amazon and now think that I might need to put that on my tbr list (to be read). :-)

I knew about both, but have not yet read Inkdeath. I am a bit skeptical about the movie - Brandon Fraser does not in anyway match up with my vision of the father. I would like to see it though.

Beth, I think you would like the book (Inkheart).

Beth, I'm stunned you don't know about Inkheart, 'cause it is your kind of book and I could have sworn you were one of the instigators passing it around knitting. Definitely add it to the tbr.

Yeah, between Brendan Fraser and the horrible reviews, I'm not making my husband drive me to Charleston to see it, but I will probably see it someday. And I'll read Inkdeath because I want to find out what happens, even if Inkspell was a big drop off from Inkheart.

Is our earlier discussion of Inkheart and a great list of YA fantasy.

I remember that discussion and obviously still haven't read it. But it's on the list and my husband was laughing when he saw all the comments.

I saw a review for the movie by someone who had read the book and was very disappointed in the movie. I'm sure I will watch it at some point, but I am going to wait for it to come to the $1 rental machine by my house.

As for Inkdeath, I got my mother to get it from the library for me during break and I was going to read it..but it looked long and I just never got in the mood. Soon, though, I will read it.
