Dissertation Printing

Do any of you recommend a printer for a dissertation? I have procrastinated long enough! I am thinking of going with the HF group (recommended by KU library). Anyone have any good or bad experiences with them or other printers? I think this came up on the blog before, but I can't find it in the archives. Thanks!

I still haven't had it done (nor have I requested my diploma be re-made post incineration). Let me know what you find out.

Pulling from the bookshelf - mine was printed by Proquest it seems...and UMI services.

Mine was Proquest, too. I thought that was the KU default.

Hi,
Tim went with Proquest/UMI and had some issues (pages upside down, ink faded in and out, and probably more that I am not remembering, because they were serious enough that they gave him a refund to cover the costs of the three he had had printed. Then I guess they tried to back out of giving him the refund, gave him credit, (we printed off a copy of my thesis with the credit) and then two years later they sent him a check for the rest.) I remember discussing this with Bridgett, who I believe had a similar problem. It seems to me that you might want to avoid Proquest, although Beth and TT didn't seem to have had trouble.

To be honest, I haven't even looked at the bound volumes. They've been sitting in a box for 2 years!

I have not had mine printed off, I do know that Bridgett had issues with the company that printed hers - I think the Proquest/UMI, which is part of the reason I did not get it printed at the time.
