What is the plant with the small purple flowers in the center of the large leaves? Also, I have news-- I found out that I have an interview for the curator position at the Smithsonian in early June. I know I should be happy but instead I am just really, really stressed out. I shoveled a bunch of dirt today-- 4 cubic yards worth-- into my new garden boxes, so I'm feeling a little better (but very sore and tired!) There was a carpenter bee investigating my wooden box frames while I was working. Made me happy :) Also some Andrena flying around the dirt pile...
