Resolution Beyond the Rodents

It's time to start thinking about resolutions for 2008 (and time that we had a more upbeat top post). Over on Sparkling Squirrel Year we're discussing what fun resolution can follow up sparkling wine, pink and rodents. I'd love your comments and I'd love to find out what you are going to do to have a consciously joyful 2008.

The only resolution I have come up with so far is to go out for Ethiopian food with the neighbors in January. I took a page out of SpSq's book to resolve to do something enjoyable! Happy Christmas, everyone!!

I think that's a great resolution TT. You could expand it to something like "eating at an interesting restaurant with interesting people every other month" or something, so your "required" enjoyment doens't end in January. -SpSQ

I wonder, what is the Portuguese word for spam?

I think my resolution is to write a letter - yes, with pen and paper - to a different friend or relative each month. Who knows, maybe I'll even get written letters back!

I had thought of a resolution, but now I can't remember. It had something to do with I shouldn't have to make a resolution, I should already be doing what's good for me.

PS - how about celebrating a different rodent each month from each continent (plus major islands to add up to 12), plus trying a wine from that continent (minus Antarctica). Still can't remember my resolution - it was something fun though.

We have decided to make resolutions in our household this year. They are not fully fleshed out yet, but they should be fun.
1.) Cook more
2.) Eat more locally grown foods
3.) Eat better
4.) Have one TV-free night a week (which includes not watching DVD's)
5.) Get more exercise
