Harry Potter Thoughts
I was hoping to comment on Abby's blog about HP, but somehow couldn't connect. Anyway, Abby, I too am upset about not having anyone to share HP madness with. I'm hoping to buy a Canadian copy before returning to the states (tomorrow) but that is looking unlikely here in Niagra Falls (really a horrible scary place).
I did get to see the movie at in Imax 3-D and is was fabulous and it reminded me about how much I really want to know what does happen next.
Anybody actually going to the celebrations? Happy reading fans.

Heeheehee... my husband went out early this morning and bought #7 for me. I've spent all day reading it, am now done.
I did score a Canadian copy, (which I wanted despite being an entirely different size and bindings) but have not opened it yet. It will wait until after I arrive home (probably tomorrow). SS
I read the book on Saturday after picking it up at 1 am (because I had nothing better to do apparently). The party at the book store was totally geared towards young kids. I kinda wished that I had been in Chicago because U of Chicago had a big party that (knowing UofC people as I do) I'm sure would have been fun for adults. Oh well. Such is life. But I did very much enjoy the book. I don't think it has hit me yet that it's over...
Niagara Falls! An example of commercializing nature. But I had my 1st pina colada there! (drinking age 18 or 19, drove up one night from college) And all the attractions pop you out in the same gift shop.
Add bunny catching to my list of crazy animal stories from the farm. I'll make a post someday.
So, Sally S, we are still waiting to hear about bunny catching.
I'm not sure why exactly I really really wanted the Canadian version of HP (#6 came out two years ago when I was on my honeymoon in Newfoundland and I unsuccessfully tried to buy a Canadian copy then), but in some sort of odd life lesson ("be careful what you wish for") I really disliked the formatting and typesetting of the Canadian version (and I didn't even notice the British spellings, which are all there) and it does look funny on my bookshelf (or at least it will after I arrange my books). Still I loved it.
I finally got the book and read it. Liked it very much!
